Day 1: Arrival into Alta Badia
Private transfer from Venice or Inssbruck to our beautiful hotel in the heart of South Tryol.
Day 2: History & Food
Your journey begins with a deep dive into history at the South Tyrolean Folklore Museum, where you’ll explore the lives of the region's past inhabitants— from noble landowners and self-sufficient farmers to hardworking day laborers.
You immerse yourself in the region’s culinary delights with a hands-on workshop dedicated to the spectacular handmade cheeses crafted by a local cheesemaker, offering a taste of authentic South Tyrolean flavors.
Day 3: Riding & Reward
Today after you leisurely morning, you’ll hop on an electric bike for fun and easy ride along Puster Valley Bike Path. The path starts in Bruneck and takes you through charming villages offering beautiful views along the way. It's a well-maintained, traffic-free path that is mostly paved, and it stretches all the way to the town of Lienz in Austria. There will be a stop for *lunch along the ...and maybe some desserts too!
After the ride we’ll return to hotel for indulgent *spa treatments at the hotel. The treatment rooms, indoor pool, and rest areas are the ideal solution for relaxing, recharging and feeling balanced.
*Dinner tonight is a three course menu called, “Cook the Mountain.” The chef, Norbert Niederkofler is a renowned South Tyrolean cuisine, deeply rooted in the culinary traditions of his home region.
Day 4. Women & Wine
Depart in the morning for a day of new experiences in Bolzano, the capital of South Tyrol. Our first stop is a historical farmhouse, where we’ll have the chance to learn the secrets behind some of the region's most delicious dishes. Guided by local women who have spent decades perfecting their culinary craft, this hands-on cooking class promises to be both informative and heartwarming, with plenty of stories and humor shared along the way.
After savoring a delightful lunch, you take a leisurely stroll through Bolzano to uncover the stories of the remarkable women who have shaped the city's past and continue to influence its present. From pioneers in the arts to community leaders, their legacies are woven into the very fabric of this vibrant town, offering a fascinating glimpse into its history through the eyes of women who made a lasting impact. You end the day with a glass of wine at one of the city’s wonderful cafes.
Day 5. Magical Mountains
You begin the day with an early departure, heading to a nearby town nestled in the foothills of the Dolomites. From there, you embark on a long, winding hike through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world.
The food served in the *mountain huts (known as rifugi in Italian) of the Dolomites is a wonderful reflection of the region’s rich Alpine culture, blending Italian and Tyrolean influences. The offerings are often simple but packed with flavor, using recipes that have been passed down through generations, such as Speck, Knödel, Polenta, Canederli, Rösti, and Strudel.
Return to the hotel will give you time to enjoy the indoor pool, hot tubs, and saunas, which are important features of the hotel. There are a number of treatments that can be booked, from facials to body detoxification.
Day 6. It Depends
Today will be based on the interests of the final group and finalized closer to departure.
The tentative schedule is to enjoy another hike in the stunning region of Val Gardena. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Val Gardena is renowned for its dramatic alpine landscapes, especially the towering peaks of the Sella Group and the majestic Langkofel (Sassolungo) massif.
After the hike, we visit some of the local woodworking shops, a vital part of Val Gardena’s heritage. The region has long been famous for its exceptional woodcarving tradition, with artisans creating intricate wooden sculptures, religious icons, and contemporary artwork.
Day 7. Departure
Early morning group transfer to airports as determined by flights.
