Magic of Morocco

Day 1: Arrival into Marrakech.

Transfer to a magical Kasbah in the mid Atlas mountains. Dinner with everyone under the twinkling lights of the garden.

Day 2: Berber Lives & Stories.

Leisurely breakfast in our private retreat followed by a hike to connect to a local Berber family for cooking and lunch. Dinner in a private dining room at the Kasbah.

Day 3: Gardens of Ourika.

Visit to local organic farm to learn about the precious cultivation of saffron with lunch in a private home. Then it’s on to meet local women to understand the magical nature of Argan oil that is used both to cook and as a beauty product.

Day 4. Local Places & Voices.

It’s time to visit a local foundation supporting Berber villages with a focus on women & children. We have lunch at the famous Kasbah Tamadot and visit their textile shop which has many beautiful items. After lunch we head to our Arabian night destination for a wonderful afternoon and evening in a special setting.

Day 5. Marvelous Marrakech.

It’s time to join the beautiful chaos of Marrakech where we stay in a unique Riad that is still owned and operated by a Moroccan family. After time in the famous Jardin Majorelle, we explore the backstreets of Marrakech for some incredible food and to meet some wonderful people.

Day 6. Culture & Beauty.

Today starts with visits to some of the significant cultural sites. After lunch we go to a private home to learn the beauty secrets of Moroccan women while sharing lunch in their home. The afternoon is yours to explore the souk with a guide or go to one of the many private galleries or museums.

Day 7. Old and new traditions of art&textiles.

We shop the souks to understand the craftsmanship of Moroccan metals, leathers and cloth, and then it’s onto a hip area of the city to see how new designers are interpreting these traditions.

Day 8. Departure.

It’s time to bid good bye to this magical country with plans to return again soon.
