Day 1: Arrival into Puebla.
Private transfer to the heart of Puebla and a hotel that offers you the best of life in the city.
Day 2: Pueblan kitchen & craft.
Start the day in a traditional kitchen of a home cook who reveals the process of making the famous dish Mole Poblana. You enjoy a wonderful lunch in the atrium of a boutique hotel and enjoy the intricate flavors of one of Mexico’s most loved meals. The afternoon shows you head to one of the oldest and most reknowned factories for making the famed “Talavera” pottery. It’s a process that demonstrates such patience and detail that you will undoubtedly be greatly inspired.
Day 3: History, folklore & food.
You visit the truly charming and magical town of Cholula to witness the symbolism behind the many layers of religions and cultures. Upon returning into the city, you visit one of the oldest and most important factories making Talavera pottery.
Dinner is with a truly amazing award winning chef who quietly creates spectacular meals in his hometown.
Day 4. Backstreets of Mexico.
After a leisurely morning in the art districts of Puebla, you transfer to Mexico City. The late afternoon takes you on the “Bad Ass Women of Mexico” to meet local tastemakers in boutiques and galleries. The places we explore and people we meet are based on the interests of the group.
Day 5. Passion for Mexico.
The day begins with a bike around around fun neighborhoods with a great vibe. We end the tour with a visit to the Casa Azul, the home of Frida Khalo. We will then enjoy a guided tour through the Modern Art Museum. The rest of the day is free for you to shop, go to a gallery or relax on your own.
Day 6. Ancient ways.
You spend the morning visiting downtown Mexico with a local guide who will reveal the stories of city’s historic past and present. The rest of the day will be designed based on the interests of the group- often a visit to one of the more important art galleries in Mexico City and some shopping.
Dinner is at the world famous restaurant, Pujol, to experience the most elevated but approachable style of Mexican cuisine. Amazing!
Day 7. Optional day (additional cost)
You may want to add an extra day for some shopping at the gorgeous boutiques and interesting home stores full of unique products from Mexico, Central and South America, not to mention all the most famous global brands.
Day 7 or 8. Departure
Free time until your scheduled private transfer to the airport.
