A city capturing the beauty and culture of the past

Day 1: Arrival into Vienna.

Arrival into Vienna's International airport, Flughafen Wien-Schwechat (VIE) and private transfer to a boutique hotel in the center of the city. Visit a museum and then enjoy dinner at a restaurant making traditional food with a contemporary twist.

Day 2: Women in history.

Begin the day with a private Powerful Women of Vienna tour that demonstrates how their lives influenced art, politics and lifestyle in the city and beyond. Visit to the Hofburg Palace for a private guided journey through the Sisi Museum and Imperial Apartments. In the early evening, you'll discover one of the more unique Christmas Markets, Art Advent near Karlskirche Church. The market is known for its one of a kind stalls and crafts that make it a local favorite. Dinner is at a very intimate boutique with a 7th generation leather and shoe maker that has an illustrious history to share.

Day 3: Local voices.

You start the day at one of the hottest coffee spots in Vienna for a multi generational experience with grandmothers and spend the morning baking with htem. Bring out your true fashionista with local "off the beaten track" exploration of unique boutiques. In the early evening you explore the Spittelberg Christmas market with a theme this year of the "going green."

Dinner is on the go through the many different choices around Spittelberg.

Day 4. Music & more.

The morning is free for you to explore. In the early afternoon, we head over to Vienna's most famous dance school to learn the history and the art of dancing the waltz. Though we're not in the city for the ball season, insight into this captivating art form reveals the deeply layered traditions of Viennese lifestyle.

In the afternoon a visit to the Belvedere which is actually two palaces linked by a formal garden. Here works by Klimt are the star attraction, and in 2023 the Belvedere celebrates 300 Years a Place of Art with a number of special exhibitions. At the end of the visit, we stop at Belvedere Christmas market.

The evening ends with a musical concert to be determined when tickets are released on sale.

Day 5. Magical Markets.

You have a free morning to soak in the local energy, re-visit a favorite Christmas market or go to one of the famous sites or shops not covered, you'll be provided a list of options. Lunch is planned at a very traditional, simple restaurant that should be full of regular patrons enjoying favorites such as Knödel, Tafelspitz, Erdäpfelsalad and of course the well-known Weinershnitzel.

In the afternoon, we visit two different Christmas markets and then take a 20-minute tram ride to the Schönbrunn Palace, the summer palace of the Habsburg family. As dusk sets, the setting comes alive with the Schrönbrunn Christmas Market and its live music.

Our last evening together is reserved at a more trendy restaurant in Vienna near the Danube river. The cocktails are innovative and the atmosphere, even on a Monday night, promises to be lively and fun.

Day 6. Departure.

Private transfers arranged to the airport. We are also happy to help extend your stay in Austria with recommendations of other places to explore.
